Delving Within: The New Science of the Unconscious

Panel Discussion October 26, 2016

What exactly is the relationship between conscious awareness and the unconscious mind? How, for example, does the brain classify and sort its different functions into conscious or unconscious processes? What is the mechanism through which the unconscious shapes the thoughts and feelings that emerge into our conscious awareness? If the self as a whole is comprised of a combination of our unconscious and conscious minds, how can we effectively integrate these different aspects of ourselves? Can we systematically access or tap into our non-rational, intuitive realm to lead richer and more creative lives? Experts from neuroscience, neuropsychiatry and psychotherapy join forces to shed light on the latest insights into the fascinating and still emerging science of the unconscious.
