Encyclopaedia Iranica: The Legacy of a Nation Past and Present

Join us for a special celebration commemorating the completion of the midway point of the Encyclopaedia Iranica, the landmark undertaking by its founding Editor, Dr. Ehsan Yarshater, to record and document the history, culture, and life of the Iranian peoples from prehistory to the present.

Dr. Yarshater will survey the remarkable work that has been accomplished to date on the Encyclopaedia, as well as the challenges that remain in completing this monumental endeavor intended to preserve the legacy of one of the oldest and most influential civilizations developed in the Middle East.
